- Patriot Plan

Can I get a hot meal from the Dining Commons to go?
We offer a reusable container program for students and staff with a busy schedule, best of all, its as easy as 1, 2, 3.

When can I use a Meal Exchange?
Our Meal Exchange program allows students unable to dine in the Dining Commons the option to dine at Jazzmans Brew & Bakery. Students may opt to use one meal swipe per period, with a maximum of two meal swipes per day at Jazzmans Brew & Bakery. Meal periods are as follows:
Breakfast 8:00 am - 9:45 am
Lunch 11:00 am - 4:00 pm
Dinner 4:30 pm - 8:30 pm
How many meals can I use this week?
Students with the Unlimited meal plan may dine in the Dining Commons as often as you like.
Students on the 140 or 190 meal plan can click here for recommended meal plan usage.
Do students have to have a meal plan? How can I purchase or change my meal plan?
All students are required to have a meal plan. First year students are required to use the Unlimited Plan and students residing in an apartment are required to use the Patriot Plan. Meal plans may be purchased through Yung Park at (610) 917-1457, before the second week of the semester.
What are Patriot Dollars?
Patriot Dollars are additional funds included with each meal plan. These funds can be used for purchases in The Dining Commons or at Jazzman’s Brew & Bakery.

What are Community Dollars?
Community Dollars are the ultimate compliment to your college dining experience. Community Dollars are included with your meal plan and expire at the end of each semester. These funds may be used in The Dining Commons, at Jazzman’s Brew & Bakery, or as at our participating off campus locations:

If I need more Patriot Dollars, how can I add on to my ID card?
Additional Patriot Dollars are available for purchase in the Dining Commons or online at https://shop-uvfdining.sodexomyway.com/dining-plans.
What if I have special dietary needs or if I am on a medically restricted diet?
We encourage students to speak with us about their needs. Reach out to the General Manager Ralph Chieffo, the Executive Chef James Lambert or the Dietitian Sue Hurd. If we cannot assist you we may refer you to the Office of Disability Services. Disability services can be reached at disabilityservices@valleyforge.edu for accomodation needs.

Can I bring guests to the Dining Hall?
We encourage you to bring a guest to The Dining Commons or Jazzman’s Brew & Bakery! If you would like to pay for your guest, we accept cash, credit cards, and Patriot or Community Dollars. Students on the 140 or 190 meal plan can use an additional meal swipe for guests. Students on the Unlimited Plan may not bring guests into the Dining Commons unless paying with cash, credit, Patriot or Community Dollars
Does the Dining Commons services serve the same food daily?
Our menu changes daily! We also offer daily and seasonal specials in The Dining Commons and at Jazzman’s Brew & Bakery. Our menu is available on our Bite by Sodexo app. or online.
Are there jobs in the Dining Commons or at Jazzman's Brew & Bakery? If so, what jobs are available and how do I apply?
